Commercial Pool Service in Los Angeles – Compliant, Reliable, and Built Around Your Schedule
Managing a commercial pool is nothing like owning one at home. The expectations are higher, the compliance requirements are real, and a single maintenance failure can mean a closed pool, a health department citation, or a liability claim. SoCal Pools® has provided commercial pool service across Los Angeles since 1987 – working with property managers, HOA boards, hotel operators, schools, and fitness centers who need a contractor they can hand the keys to and trust completely.
We’re on your doorstep, armed with deep expertise, open lines of communications, and free, non-obligatory consultations.
Built on Partnerships With the Industry’s Leading Manufacturers
Our supplier relationships give us access to the equipment, chemicals, and parts that commercial properties depend on – sourced from manufacturers who set the standard for quality and consistency.

Why this matters for commercial properties
A residential pool technician and a commercial pool contractor are not the same thing. Commercial pools are governed by the LA County Department of Public Health. They require documented chemical logs, inspection-ready records, and a service provider who holds the correct licenses. Most pool companies serving homeowners are not equipped for this – and the consequences of getting it wrong fall on the property manager, not the contractor.
SoCal Pools® holds both the C53 Pool and Spa and C61 Limited Specialty Contractor licenses, along with LA County Health Department Lic. #3213. Every commercial property we service receives full documentation on every visit. When an inspector walks in, you’re ready.
Commercial Pool Services
Scheduled maintenance – 2 to 6 visits per week
We structure visit frequency around your property’s usage, bather load, and health department requirements. High-traffic pools – apartment complexes, hotel pools, fitness centers – typically require more frequent service than a quieter HOA facility. We assess and recommend the right schedule at the outset, and we adjust if conditions change.
Each visit includes pool vacuuming, wall brushing, leaf skimming, tile cleaning, skimmer and pump basket cleanouts, and water chemistry testing and balancing. All liquid sanitisers and filter cleanings are included.
Chemical management and supply
All chemicals are supplied, handled, and applied by our technicians. You don’t carry inventory, manage storage, or handle dosing. Water chemistry is tested on every visit and adjusted to keep your pool within the parameters required by LA County Health Department standards.
Note: the following are not included in standard monthly service charges and are billed separately as needed – conditioner service, granular chlorine or tablets, saltwater cell cleanings, salt, tile blasting, pool draining, acid washing and sanding, equipment repairs and replacements, plumbing and electrical repairs.
Compliance documentation
Every visit generates a written service record. Chemical readings, tasks completed, and any issues noted are all logged and available to you. If your property requires documentation for health department inspections – or simply for your own records – we provide it as a standard part of the service, not as an add-on.
We’ve helped hundreds of HOAs, apartment buildings, hotels, and school aquatics programs meet current state and county requirements, including Virginia Graeme Baker Federal Act compliance.
Emergency response
Commercial pools can’t wait a week for a service visit. When equipment fails or a chemistry issue puts your pool out of service, we respond quickly. Our technicians carry common parts and have direct access to major equipment manufacturers, which means most repair calls are resolved in a single visit.
Equipment maintenance and upgrades
We service all major equipment brands and handle everything from routine preventive maintenance to full equipment replacements. For ageing systems, we can assess and recommend upgrades – particularly variable-speed pumps and modern automation systems, which reduce operating costs significantly over time.

Why Choose SoCal Pools® for Commercial Service
Four decades of local experience
We’ve been maintaining pools across Los Angeles since 1987. We understand how LA County Health Department inspections work, what local inspectors look for, and how to keep your property compliant year-round – not just when an inspection is scheduled.
Structured visit schedules that don’t slip
Commercial pool maintenance only works when visits happen on time, every time. We build consistent schedules and maintain them. Property managers who have worked with unreliable contractors before know how much this matters.
Documentation on every visit
Every service visit produces a written record. No chasing your contractor for logs. No scrambling when a health inspector arrives unannounced. Your paperwork is current because we make it current, every time we’re on site.
The licenses commercial clients require
C53 Pool and Spa Contractor, C61 Limited Specialty Contractor, and LA County Health Department Lic. #3213. These are not optional credentials for commercial work – they’re what the law requires and what your insurance carrier expects. We hold all three.
Family-owned accountability
Daniel and Daniel Jr. Guimera are the names behind SoCal Pools®. When you have a question or a problem, you reach the people making decisions – not a call center. That kind of accountability is rare in commercial pool contracting, and our clients notice it.
What you get with professional commercial pool service
A pool that stays open
Closures cost money. A failed health inspection, a chemistry problem, or an equipment breakdown that takes days to resolve are all avoidable with a reliable service contractor. We keep pools running so you don’t have to manage complaints, refund requests, or reputational fallout from a closure.
Compliance you can demonstrate
Documentation is the difference between a clean inspection and a notice of violation. Every visit is logged, every chemical reading is recorded, and every completed task is accounted for. You’re covered.
Fewer emergency calls
Preventive maintenance catches equipment problems before they become failures. Regular inspection of pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical systems keeps the equipment running longer and reduces the frequency of urgent repair calls.
One contractor for everything
Rather than managing separate vendors for routine maintenance, chemical supply, and equipment repair, you have a single point of contact. We handle all three. If something needs fixing, we fix it – you don’t need to coordinate.
Predictable costs
Structured service plans mean consistent monthly costs with no surprises on routine maintenance. Equipment repairs and additional services are quoted clearly before any work is done.
Pool Service Questions Answered
How often do commercial pools need to be serviced?
LA County Health Department standards require that commercial pools maintain safe chemical levels at all times. In practice, this means a minimum of two visits per week for most commercial properties, with higher-traffic pools – hotels, large apartment complexes, fitness centers – often requiring daily or near-daily service. We assess the right frequency for your property before the contract begins.
What licenses do you hold for commercial pool work?
We hold C53 Pool and Spa Contractor Lic. #618217, C61 Limited Specialty Contractor Lic. #618217, and LA County Health Department Lic. #3213. These are the licenses required to legally perform commercial pool service in Los Angeles County.
Do you provide documentation for health department inspections?
Yes. Written service records are generated on every visit, covering chemical readings, tasks completed, and any issues identified. These are available to you at any time and are structured to meet LA County Health Department requirements.
Can you service pools you didn’t build or have not previously maintained?
Yes. We take on commercial properties regardless of who built or previously maintained the pool. We’ll assess the current condition of the pool and equipment during an initial property assessment and let you know what we find before service begins.
Do you handle equipment repairs as well as regular maintenance?
Yes. Our technicians service all major equipment brands and handle repairs as part of our commercial service. For significant equipment failures, we can often provide same-day response. Repair costs are quoted separately from the regular service agreement.
What is Virginia Graeme Baker Act compliance and do you handle it?
The Virginia Graeme Baker Act is a federal safety law requiring anti-entrapment drain covers in commercial pools and spas. We assess compliance during the initial property assessment and can install or replace drain covers as needed. Ongoing compliance is factored into our service program.
